What Is Friends Of Thornage?
Friends of Thornage is a local organisation run by a group of residents. It’s aims are to:

Promote and enhance the community spirit in Thornage

Support activities of other groups in the village

Improve the village amenities
Money raised from our events and our local lottery contribute towards:

The speeding camera
-
The defibrillator
-
Restoration of the village sign
-
The village notice board and bench
-
Village events, such as the Jubilee and Coronation celebrations
-
Village quizzes and pop-up bars
We have committed to contributing 50% of our raised funds to Thornage Church to:
-
Protect the fabric of this beautiful 1000-year-old property
-
Improve the facilities at the church as a place of worship
-
Develop it as a community hub for village events
Recent and Forthcoming Community Social Events include:

Summer garden party, BBQ and plant sale

Monthly coffee mornings at Thornage Church
-
Harvest festival supper and entertainment evening

Pop-up community pub social evening
-
Village Christmas celebrations
Thornage Lottery - win £20, £10 or £5 from our monthly draw
For just £12 per year, you can stand a chance of winning up to £20 per month, whilst also raising money for our village community events and projects (the lottery money is not included in our contribution to the church).
